The Top Ten Ski Resorts in the World

(1) Big Sky Resort, USA: Located in Madison County in the US state of Montana, the Big Sky Resort offers a skiable area of over 3,600 acres and is often trademarked as the ‘Biggest Skiing in America’. There are 17 lifts at the Big Sky Resort and the resort reserves 2,088 acres for the expert skiers. The resort was opened in December 1973 and is primarily famous for its winter activities including zipline, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. There are a plenty of shops and restaurants for the après ski and the village offers some very comfortable rooms for the visitors.

(2) Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France: The third most visited natural site in the world, Chamonix, is one the most rugged sports resorts in Europe. Its 20 kilometers long trail is among the longest in Europe and besides offering excellent skiing facilities it also has available sports like ice climbing and hang gliding. The place was also the site of the first Winter Olympics held in 1924.
