Siem Reap - Food 2

Roadside barbecue seems to be very popular in Siem Reap, and you can find stalls selling grilled chicken, quails and fish everywhere. They also serve other animal parts like liver, kidneys, etc, and other unrecognizable small animals best left to the connoisseurs.

Another popular local delicacy is half-hatched duck eggs. The eggs have been hatched for about 20 days, until a duck fetal is half-formed. You can see the head, eyes, beaks and even feathers. They are sold on the road side, and eaten with salt and pepper.
