Los Angeles California Tourist Attractions, Los Angeles California Tourist Places

Los Angeles California Tourist Attractions - Los Angeles is a wildly popular city, pulling in somewhere around 24 million tourists each year, and who knows how many new residents hoping to make it big in The Biz, as it is locally known. The city’s metropolitan area is incredibly dense, so it is virtually impossible to separate both the city and the county of Los Angeles from the neighboring metropolitan areas. City limit signs mark the only real boundaries.

Los Angeles CA was founded in 1781, when it was originally known as El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora La Reina de Los Angeles de la Porciuncula – which literally translates to Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the Small Portion – and home to fourteen families.

The general belief about Los Angeles is that everyone living there is either writing a screenplay, has written one, or is just there on vacation. The common myth is that there are really no native Angelenos; everyone living there has come from somewhere else in hopes of realizing their dreams. However, for tourists, there are certainly no shortages of tourist attractions to visit, not to mention all the things there are to learn. For instance, the bird of paradise is the city’s official flower; the city’s official tree is the coral tree.

In addition to being a veritable mecca for people in the entertainment industries, Los Angeles California is a culturally rich and thriving city, and there are plenty of interesting tourist attractions, ranging from art museums and galleries to world famous theatre performances. There are lots of trendy shops and sites which promise family fun, such as zoos and theme parks.
Of course, there is a wealth of popular tourist attractions in Los Angeles as well, such as the Venice Beach Boardwalk, Mann’s Chinese Theater, and the renowned Walk of Fame.
