Temples in Chhattisgarh
Girodhpuri
Located about 135 km from Raipur, Girodhpuri is a pilgrim center in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. It is famed as the birth place of the great Satnami saint Ghasidas, who fought against social evils and advocated social equality and development.

Bhand Dewal Temple
Bhand Dewal Temple, a dilapidated Jaina temple, is situated at Arang in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. Arang is about 30 km from Raipur. This five-storeyed temple is assignable to the late 11th century Bhumija style. It interprets the Bhumija mode in the regional Kalachuri style, having ornate lofty socle and two bands of sculptures on the wall. The temple is stellate on plan with six offsets.

Kuleshvara Mahadeva Temple
Kuleshvara Mahadev Temple is one of the prominent shrines at Rajim, in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh. The inscriptions that date back to the periods of Somavanshis, Nalas and Kalchuris can be found here. Uniqueness is that the temple is situated on an island. According to local populace, the temple formerly located in the mainland, which was severed by the river.

Rajivalochana Temple
Rajivalochana, literally means "the beautiful-eyed one", is one of the important shrines at Rajim, Raipur District, in Chhattisgarh. The presiding deity is Lord Vishnu. The temple boasts 12 pillars, on which the figures of Goddess Durga, Lord Vishnu, Lord Ram and Lord Narasimha are exquisitely sculpted. It is a fine example of Mahakosala architecture.

Dudhadari Temple
Dudhadari Temple situated near the Burha Talab, stands the 500-year-old Dudhadari Temple, which has elaborate carvings. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Ram. In Raipur City, one of the most famous temple is known as the Banjari Mata Mandir which was established by Shree Harish Joshi [needs citation]. The folklore has it that Mr. Joshi found a place where a stone looked like an idol of Banjari Mata. Upon discovering the idol, he started worshiping the idol and hence attracting attention of the public.

Malhar
Malhar is famous for it"s archeological importance. In Malhar, so many ancient temples have been found by extraction such as Pataleshwar temple, Devi temple & Dindeshwari temple. Four handed idol of Lord Vishnu is also very famous.

Tala
Tala is famous for it's archeological importance. In Tala two ancient temples of Fifth Century have been found by extraction which are Jethani temple and Devrani temple. Devrani temple is still in good condition. The main attraction of Tala is the ancient idol of Lord Shiva which is also of Fifth century.

Ratanpur
Ratanpur is famous for its historical & religious importance. It was the capital of the Kalchurian Kings and Marathas.

Mahamaya Temple
It was constructed by Kalchurian king Ratansen. The temple has a pond in front, having ancient temples at the bank. It is a token of religious faith of the people.

Ramtek
Ramtek is another famous temple in Ratanpur situated at the peek of a mountain constructed by Maratha king Bimbaji Bhonsle.

Shivrinarayan
Shivrinarayan is famous for its religious importance. According to "Ramayan", Lord Ram has eaten the Ber" of Shabri at this place. This place has also some ancient temples as Narayan temple & Chandrachudeshwar temple. Shivrinarayan is also the meeting point of Mahanadi and Shivnath river.

Amarkantak
Amarkantak is famous for its religious importance. Amarkantak has the origin point of holy rivers Narmada & Son. It"s main visiting places are Narmada Mai ka Mandir, Narmada Kund, Mai ki Bagia etc. There are two famous and beautiful waterfalls also which are Kapildhara & Dudhdhara.

Kharaud
Kharaud is famous for it"s religious importance.Kharaud has also so many ancient temples in which Lakshamaneshwar Temple and Temple of Shabri made of bricks are very famous.

Deobalod
It is situated about 3 km from Bhilai and is famous for Oldest Shiv Mandir.

Siyadevi
It is around 20 km from Balod. This place is famous for Sita Maiya"s temple, situated in the heart of greenery of natural jungle. There is also a natural and very beautiful waterfalls.

Nagpura
Nagpura is famous for Jain Temples & Pasharwanath Tirth. Uwasaggaharam Parshwa Teerth is the prime attraction here. Thousands of devotees visit the shrine especially on every full-moon night. Sheonath River has its course through Nagpura.

Dongargaon
Dongargarh is a city and a municipality in Rajnandgaon district in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. Blessed with majestic mountains and ponds, Dongargarh has been derived from two words: "Dongarh" meaning "mountains" and "garh" meaning "fort". Popular of the landmarks is Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple on a hilltop which is 1,600 ft high. It is of great spiritual importance and a legend is associated with this shrine. Another prominent shrine in the vicinity is Chhoti Bamleshwari Temple. The devotees flock these temples during Navratri. Shivji Temple and the temples dedicated to Lord Hanuman are also located here. The ropeway is an added attraction and is the only passenger ropeway in Chhattisgarh.

Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple
Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple is a highly revered shrine situated at Dongargarh, on the peak of a mountain, 1000 ft above the sea level. The temple is dedicated to Maa Bagulamukhi Devi, a powerful manifestation of Durga. Devotees have to climb a flight of 1100 stairs to reach this holy temple. The temple is believed to be constructed by Raja Veersen, the then ruler of Dongargarh.

Chhoti Bamleshwari Temple
Chhoti Bamleshwari Devi Temple is one of the prominent shrines in Dongargarh of Chhattisgarh. The presiding deity is Goddess Durga in the form of Goddess Bamleshwari. This temple was constructed for those who found difficult to climb the 1,100 stairs to reach Maa Bamleshwari Devi Temple, on a hilltop which is 1,600 ft high. Devotees, in large number, flock here during Navratri.

Danteshwari Temple
Danteshwari Temple is a 600-year-old heritage pilgrim center built by Chalukya kings in the 14th century. The temple is located at Dantewada, about 80 km from Jagdalpur, near the Gole Bazaar and Bastar Palace, in Bastar District, Chhattisgarh. Two rivers, Shankini and Dhankini, meet here. Danteshwari got its name from the belief that a tooth of Devi Sati fell here. The temple, with its unique idol made of black stone, is rich in architectural and sculptural wealth. It has four parts - Garbh Griha, Maha Mandap, Mukhya Mandap and Sabha Mandap - with a Garud Pillar at the entrance. The temple is decorated and lit up magnificently during the Dussehra festival.

Balaji Temple
Balaji Temple, built in 1610 by Shri Balbhadra Dasji and Shri Bhosleji, is one of the important shrines in Raigarh District of Chhattisgarh. Sree Balaji is the presiding deity here. The walls of the temple are graced with beautiful images, depicting scenes from Lord Ram’s life. Another highlight is Saligrams placed near the idol of Sree Balaji. These Saligrams, believed to be the symbol of Lord Vishnu, were found floating in the Gandaki River (Nepal).

Shri Shyam Mandir
Shri Shyam Mandir is a famous and beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, situated in the heart of Raigarh, in Chhattisgarh. The main attraction here is the temple festivals such as Shyam Utsav at Dev-Uthani Ekadashi and Janmashtami. It is the time when thousands of devotees come here to pay homage and offering. Raigarh Railway Station helps in reaching the city and the nearest airport is at Bilaspur, 139 km from Raigarh.
