There are 2 major hotels at KL Sentral, both of 5 star standard. I am going to talk about Le Meridien first. The interior design of Le Meridien is a bit old school, probably to cater to the business type. While I was there I saw quite a number of suites in the lobby.
The service is excellent. The staff are always smiling, courteous and helpful. There is an understated elegance about the place. This is not easy to pull off in Malaysia - people are either over-friendly or couldn't care less. The easy charm of the old days is long gone, I'm afraid.
The layout of the room is quite standard, and finished in neutral tones. It is quiet and easy on the eyes, but nothing to shout about.
The hotel shares a pooldeck with the Millenium Hilton next door. There are some nice landscape features dotted here and there, providing a tranquil setting which is ideal to chill out.
The hotel also has several F&B outlets that are the best of it's type. The Al Nafourah is the best Middle-Eastern restaurant in town, and Prime is a fine-dining restaurant serving premium cuts of beef. Be prepared to pay for the quality though.
