Washington D.C. Travel Guide
The capital of the United States of America is a city live with contradiction and irony. Beautiful monuments to our history exist steps away from what are indeed very poor areas. The city that professes to lead the free world is not allowed to govern itself, and has a history plagued with corruption. Of the United States but not a state itself, the District of Columbia occupies a unique niche in American culture, the city whose purpose by design (for better or worse) is to rule.
Historical monuments, museums, and government buildings abound in Washington. Around the Mall, a park in the center of the city, you can find the US Capitol building, the museums of the Smithsonian, the National Archives, the White House, the Washington Monument, and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. Across the Potomac river in Virginia are the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. Just to the northeast of Washington in Maryland, an easy car ride away, is another great city, Baltimore. The Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean are easily accessible. The city and the surrounding suburbs in Maryland and Virginia have an active and exciting night-life. There are clubs, bars, and theaters to satisfy any taste and restaurants of nearly every type in existence.
Although technically located in the South, Washington is a very cosmopolitan city and in fact bears little resemblance at all to the rest of the US. To most Americans DC is a fascinating place to visit, teeming with politics, diplomacy, history, and scandal. Those of us who live "inside the Beltway" by choice wouldn't have it any other way.

Alaska Travel Guide

Alaska is very beautiful and has so many things to do and places to go. From the highest peaks of Mt.McKinley to the miles of coastline that seem to go on forever.
Everywhere you turn there are thickly wooded areas teaming with wildlife of all types. Free, majestic eagles soar overhead and the Aurora Borealis dance across the sky.
One of the most important events is the Iditarod Dog Sled Race, a race that runs from Anchorage to Nome every year.
One of the best ways to visit Alaska is by cruise ship. As many cities and towns in Alaska do not have roads to them, the only way to reach them is by sea or air.
Arizona Travel Guide
Arizona is located in the South West of the United States. It is a landlocked state and for a large part covered by desert. These deserts are one of the main attractions.
Phoenix the capital is an easy going city and a good base for exploring the rest of the state. Arizona is still asociated very much with the spirit of the wild west. For anyone interest in the the 1880s, when gunfighters stalked throughout southern Arizona, a visit to Tombstone is a must. The Grand Canyon national park is located in the North of Arizona, it is without a doubt the most visited attraction of the state.
A must see for all visitors to the Southwest; which was rated the "Most Beautiful Place in America", is none-other than the enchanted land of Sedona.
Navajo National Monument offers a unique insight in the precolumbian cultures of this region. The houses the cliffdwellers made here are truly impressive.
Sierra Vista is a cracked out little town south of Tucson by about 70 miles. It's full of weirdos and bizzaro people. A newcome luminary is "BibleMan", aka "Bible-Biker". He's an elderly bum who rides a bicycle covered in buckets scrawled with jesus things. He is frequently spotted infront of the Jack In The Box restaurant on Fry Blvd, barking at passing traffic and carrying a child-sized acoustic guitar.

Kansas Travel Guide
Kansas is an almost rectangular shaped state at the geographic center of the United States. Wichita, the state's largest city, is home to many of the world's aerospace companies and has earned the nickname of "Air Capital" for this. Topeka is the state's capitol and is home to many of the state's governmental agencies. Kansas City also is halfway in Kansas and is a large metropolitan center.
Tallgrass Prairie preserves the natural habitat of the Prairies. Of the 400,000 square miles of tallgrass prairie that once covered the North American Continent, less than 1 percent remains, primarily in the Flint Hills.
Other sights include Fort Larned on the banks of the Arkansas river and Fort Scott which witnessed a decade of rapid westward expansion in the 1840s followed by civil strife and unrest in the 1850s that brought about the deadliest conflict of US history - the Civil War.
In the northwest of Kansas, Nicodemus is a unique historic site. It is the only remaining western town established by African Americans during the Reconstruction Period following the Civil War.
Kansas is windy and flat and an ideal location for a huge wind farm with hundreds of wind turbines in Gray County.
The Road To Oz does exist in Kansas and it leads to The Oz Museum in Wamego Kansas.
Hawaii Travel Guide
The Hawaiian Islands are one of the most beautiful places on earth. The weather is friendly. The temperature ranges from 60-90 degrees all year long. It's a little warmer in summer, and a little cooler in winter, but every day is a beach day for somebody.
The environment is friendly. The physical beauty of Hawaii is almost unparalleled. Majestic mountains were created millions of years ago by volcanic activity that thrust these islands three miles from the ocean floor. Wave action across endless eons of time created coral reefs, and then battered and broke them to create miles of white sand beach. Our position at the center of the Pacific ensured that almost every plant and animal who would find a home here would come as an invited guest.
There are no strangers in Paradise. Perhaps the most beautiful part of Hawaii is the genuine warmth of our people. We call it the spirit of Aloha. It has allowed a melting pot of cultures from all over the world to find common ground, and a new home, in this most gentle of places.
Mount Rushmore Travel Guide
more enjoyable everywhere you go you see bikes (harleys). and be sure to stop into the crowded town of Sturgis.
A long boardwalk has been built at the base of Mt. Rushmore which gives you many different views of Mt. Rushmore. Openings have been made in the trees along the boardwalk such that at times you can see only one of the four presidents. Enjoy a meal at the Mt. Rushmore Cafe where you can eat while looking at the four presidents. Several wild animals such as deer and mountain goats roam free around the area.
