CancunCancun is definitely Mexico’s showcase resort. The original developers and the Mexican government can be proud of what they have accomplished here. Built in a location that was named by Mayan people, long ago, for the large number of snakes in the area, Cancun has been carefully groomed into one of the most polished resorts anywhere. Long gone are the snakes and most of the mosquitoes that might have enjoyed the numerous lagoons. Few resorts in the world have the infrastructure and amenities that were built into Cancun from the beginning. Everything just seems to flow together effortlessly in Cancun. This is one of the reasons that Cancun is Mexico's most popular resort, the other reason being.

Waikiki, The Hawaiian for "Sprouting Water" Beach

Waikiki is known as the Hawaiian for "Sprouting Water" beach. Waikiki beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world. Its warm waters and rolling surf have been attracting large numbers of visitors since 1901, when the first large tourist hotel, the Moana, opened for business. It is the best travel destination for any kind of vacation that is the two mile stretch of white sand coast and fronted by hotels and tourist facilities.

More importantly, this is also where we will find the surfing waves that Waikiki Beach is famous for. But regardless of how we want to pass the time, the concessionaires along the beach will have something for us to do, from renting surfboards, to outrigger canoe and catamaran rides.
Just remember, that during the summer months Waikiki Beach experiences very high surfs, which can be dangerous to the inexperienced swimmer. So stay close to the shore, and mind the Lifeguards.

Getting to Waikiki is very easy. Oahu has Hawaii’s major airport: Honolulu International Airport. It’s not just the beach though: Check out nearby Kapahulu for local culture and, in particular, the famous malasada, a delicious doughnut, then go shopping at the renowned Kapiolani Farmers’ Market with excellent locally produced produce such as Hawaiian papaya and regional delicacies, and, if you haven’t got one yet, buy the loudest Hawaiian shirt you can find.

Copacabana, The Most Popular Beach at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

When one said about the world famous beach in the world, so the first coming to mind is Copacabana beach (Praia de Copacabana). Copacabana is the best travel destination that located within the city confines of Rio de Janeiro, this four kilometer strip of beach serves up an animated menu of activities and sights as lengthy as its coastline. Possibly the most famous stretch of sand in the world, Copacabana beach is synonymous with the hedonistic side of Rio – with sun, sea, beautiful bodies and New Year celebrations on the beach.
Swimming in its crystal blue waters, tanning in its sun baked sand, kicking around a futbol in a game of sand soccer or beach volleyball, with or without your hands, can all be deliciously tempting your round (though June-August does see its share of rain) at this prominent South American retreat.
Copacabana is named after the conspicuous (you can’t miss it) and still distinguished Copacabana Palace Hotel which opened in 1920, to this day attracts the rich and famous.

The allure of the wide, white sand beach, the affable locals or Cariocas, round the clock parties, bikini clad beauties (don’t worry ladies there’s a pile of bronzed back beef cake too) sumptuous restaurants, lively bars and music and night clubs all at very reasonable prices, will instantly gain and keep attention through out your stay.

SENGGIGI LOMBOK - SISTER OF BALI

Senggigi
Princes of The West Coast

Senggigi, named after a princess in local legend, is the main tourist centre on Lomb0k. The resort area is about 10 km north of Ampenan, and about 20 minutes drive from the island's Selaparang airport. Nowhere near as large or as busy as its Bali counterparts, Senggigi is a great base for exploring the rest of the island.
Senggigi Beach is the large bay that forms the centre of the Senggigi, with the main road running paraller to the Beach, and the large resort accupaying the space between. The beach provides picturesque views of Bali's Gunung Agung to the west and stunning sunsets with the volcano silhouetted on the horizon.

Tourism Information:
  • The pasar seni (Art Market) is on the beach between the Santosa and Sheraton resort. There are numerous small stalls selling handicrafts and souvenirs from around Lombok, as well as t-shirt, sarongs and clothing similar to Bali's market.
  • Batu Layar, on the hill a couple of kilometers before Senggigi, has an important ancestral grave (makam) where Muslims come to picnic and pray for health and success.
  • Pura Batu Bolong (meaning: ''Rock witha hole'') is an interesting Hindu Temple facing Bali across the Lombok Strait. Built on a large rocky outcrop with a natural hole near the base, it is said that virgins were once sacrificed to the sea from the seat-like rock at the outermost point.
  • Kerandangan Valley, with a popular beach nearby and some nice hotels slightly out of town in a pretts valley
  • Mangsit has developed as an accommodation alternative to Senggigi, with boutique style hotels positioned along the breathtaking bays of the section of coast.

KUTA BEACH

Kuta Beach-South Bali
For many people South Bali is Bali; for many others it is anything but. Chaotic Kuta and upscale Seminyak throb around the clock. In the south, the Bukit Peninsula is home to some of the island's largest resort, while in the east Sanur follows the subdued beat of its reef-protected surf. The coast features a fine range of beaches.
KUTA
The Kuta region is overwhelmingly Bali's largest and tackiest tourist beach resort. Most visitors come here sooner or later because it's close to the airport and has the greatest range of budget hotels, restaurant and tourist facilities. Some find the area overdeveloped and seedy, but if you have a taste for a busy beach scene, shopping and night life, you will probably have a great time. Go elsewhere on the island if you want a quiet, unspoilt tropical hideaway. It is fashionable to disparage Kuta and its immediate neighbor to the north, Legian for their rampant development, low-brow nightlife and crass commercialism, but the cosmopolitan mixture of beach party hedonism and entrepreneurial energy can be exciting. It is not pretty, but it is not dull either, and the amazing growth is evidence that a lot of people find something to like in Kuta. Kuta has the most diversions and the best beach-but the worst traffic and most persistent hawkers. History
Mads Lange, a Danish copra trader and an adventurer of the 19th century, established a successful trading enterprise near modern Kuta, and had some success in mediating between local rajahs and the Dutch, who were encroaching from the north. His business soured in the 1850s, and he died suddenly, perhaps murdered. His grave, and monument erected later, are near Kuta's night market. The original Kuta Beach Hotel was started by a Californian couple in the 1930's but closed with the Japanese occupation of Bali in 1942. In the late 1960's, Kuta became a stop on the hippie trail between Australia and Europa, and an untouched 'secret' surf spot. Accommodation opened and by the early 1970's Kuta had delightfully laid-back atmosphere. Enterprising Indonesians seized opportunities to profit from the tourist trade, often in partnership with foreigners who wanted a pretext for staying longer. As Kuta expanded, Legian further north became the quist alternative, but now you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. Immediately north again, Seminyak continues north from Legian. All this has taken its toll, and the area is chaotic mixture of shops, bars, restaurants and hotels on a confusing maze of streets and alleys, often congested with heavy traffic, thick with fumes and painfully noisy.
