Kuala Lumpur - Bintang Walk

Bintang  Walk must be the most popular shopping strip in KL. Stretching from the Starhill Gallery to Bintang Plaza, this narrow strip of city sidewalk offers an amazing variety of shopping and dining experience. It is also very well landscaped and designed, with shaded rest areas providing much needed shelter from the tropical heat, and lots of kiosks selling snacks, drinks and ice-cream offering convenient breaks along the way.

Starting from the more swanky end of Jalan Bukit Bintang, where you find the Starhill Gallery Shopping Centre, the Westin Hotel and Marriot Hotel, it goes slowly down-scale towards the bargain heaven of Sungei Wang Plaza and Bukit Bintang Plaza. The latest addition to the swanky end is the Pavilion Shopping Centre.

The Starhill Gallery which also houses the Marriot Hotel.

The curved building behind is the Westin Hotel, whereas the one with the tall windows in front is The Marriot.

The Pavilion, the latest highend shopping centre in KL.

The stretch of Bintang Walk between Starhill and Lot 10.

One of the favourite past times along Bintang Walk - people watching.

The famous Lot 10 at the junction of Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Sultan Ismail. It's green and blue exterior was a bold statement for it's time.

The stretch along Bukit Bintang Plaza.

This is where it ends, in front of BB Plaza.

Various dining options in the area.
