Somewhere in the middle of Africa flows a river, thunders a waterfall, bathe elephants and hippos in perfect harmony.

Africa is a continent of contrast. Breathtaking views, majestic animals, friendly people and devastating poverty.

Livingstone is a smallish town about 8 km from the Victoria Falls. If it wasn't for the falls nobody would have known of Livingstone's existence.

The Victoria Falls town on the Zimbabwean side of the Victoria falls used to be the preferred location for a visit to Falls. With all the problems Zimbabwe is having visitors are more inclined to go to Livingstone.

The Victoria Falls deserves it place as one of the seven wonders of the world. To try and describe the overpowering feeling of magic and beauty than one experience here, is impossible. The best taken photos can't do justice to this awesome sight. Go and see it for yourself.

The Zambezi river is so full at the moment that the spray from the waterfall is so overpowering that you can only view small parts of the falls at a given time. But the spray in itself creates a stunning feeling of power and beauty. In certain areas only the spray is visible with a permanent rainbow, as seen at the bottom of this photo.
