Tourist Attractions in Cancun Mexico United States
Cancun is the famous tourist spot nestled as a coastal city in Quintana Roo of the Yucatan Peninsula. However, the Cancun Mexico attractions are not only confined to its world’s most prominent beaches, but it is also extended to many natural tours as well as archaeological excursions. Lounge on its powdery sand coast, dive in its green-blue waters featuring pristine reef, explore Chichen Itza, or simply rent a boat to explore the Mayan Riviera – all what the Cancun Mexico attractions have to offer is nothing else than fun veiled in surprises!
Cancun beaches are the main attractions, which feature powdery, white sand as well as blue waters expanding for miles and miles long along the Caribbean. Those who have strolled here have counted some 14 shades of blue – including me. It is surely this natural diversity that soothes both mind and body from sunrise to sundown. Along the Caribbean side of Cancun, there are beaches such as Playa Linda, Playa Langosta, Playa Tortugas, Playa Las Perlas, and Playa Caracol. Park along the Kukulacán Blvd or catch a bus running regularly at every few minutes and demanding some pesos for your dream beach. Then, get ready for jet skiing, diving, snorkeling, swimming, parasailing, playing volleyball, and reclining in hammocks.  The main draw here is the barrier reef – the second largest on the globe facilitating a diverse quantity of marine life. However, note that nudity on beaches is a crime here.

One of the most beloved Cancun Mexico attractions is an excursion to Isla Mujeres – a small trip from Cancun where a ferry departs to make you reach this island in 25 minutes. Meaning the Island of Women, this is the most scenic landscape where reclining, sun setting views, sailing, surfing, boat trips, and underwater diving. Go further 30 km in north to explore one more delight – Isla Contoy where the top draws are natural beauty and nesting sea birds of over 150 different species.

Coming back to Cancun, you must explore the Tourist Zone of 14 miles full of attractions. One of the highlights is the Laguna Nichupte that is very wonderfully nestled inland and offering numerous shopping spots, water sports, and waterfront restaurants. Those who are archeology fans must take a tour of the remote destinations including the Ruinas El Rey on the Kukulacán Blvd. With a marginal fee, these ruins of the Maya in the heart of modern Cancun Mexico attractions are the most visited ones. Some more Mayan excursions that are worth taking on the Yucatan are Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Coba; which offer a glory that is matchless on this planet no matter where you go. For all those who love history and civilization, these trips are must. At Tulum, do not miss the Hidden Worlds Cenote Adventure Park featuring vast underwater caves and caverns as well as beautiful cenotes along with Zip Lines, snorkel trips, and The Worlds only SkyCycle.
There are many attractions on the island. Nestled in the heart of the hotel zone is the Interactive Aquarium, a small one that gives you a chance to closely explore the aquatic life. Swim with dolphins in a big pool, nurse sharks, pet rays, and touch a starfish. Xcaret at 46 miles as an Eco-archaeological Park in the Riviera Maya is the home of the tropical flora and fauna as well as the expressions of the Mayan culture. There is an archaeological site, beach, orchid greenhouse, snorkeling in underground rivers, butterfly pavilion, native fauna breeding farm, jaguar island, and Mayan village. If you are willing to spend more, you can get a chance to swim with dolphins and rejuvenate with the Spa services. After sunset, do attend its spectacular night show of performances revealing the culture of Mexico and Mayan.
Some of the best restaurants are on the Kukulcan blvd: Silk Asian Bistro for sushi, sashimi, and soy paper vegetarian rolls; Mikado for Thai as well as Japanese dishes, and Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville offering a décor of orange boat and delicious flavors.
Cancun has been famous for decades thanks to the plentiful natural wonders it has to offer. The magically majestic feeling of the ancient mayans combined with mexican smiley hospitality make this destination truly worthy of your visit.
Beatiful Cancun beaches and Cancun Lagoon.Aquaworld takes the best the area has to offer and makes it easily accessible for your enjoyment. You will find something for all ages and tastes.

The main natural attractions in Cancun are the Lagoon, Sea and incredible Cancun Beaches:

The Nichupte Lagoon:

The Nichupte Lagoon is very large and enjoyable. Many of our tours depart from the Lagoon providing a complete experience of both Lagoon and sea.

The Caribbean Sea and Great Mayan Reef:

Behold! The second largest barrier reef in the world. Stretching from here all the way passed Belize, there is plenty of variety available for reef goers of all kinds. Submurged in warm, clear, turqoise water, experiencing the reef and its habitat is very refreshing and entertaining. Aquaworld offers expertly guided tours for all ages to these natural wonders.

Cancun Beaches:

With miles upon miles of white powdery beaches, taking the sun is at it's most comfortable. You have two types of beaches available in Cancun. Nice clam surf on the north side where the waves are very calm and suitable for all swimmers and rougher seas on the East side great for body surfing and boogie boarding.

There are plenty of public accesses on Blvd. Kukulcan for you to visit the beaches other than the one in front of your hotel. It is recommendable to take a peek at these when you arrive.
